The LEAVE A LEGACY^® of ACADIANA Mission

LEAVE A LEGACY^® of ACADIANA is a regional public awareness initiative in South Louisiana that encourages individuals to give to the charities and nonprofit organizations they love when arranging their estate plans. The primary goal of this program is to help people consider including nonprofit organizations in their plans so that they can continue making a lasting difference. Whether a will or estate plan vehicle is used, this generosity can impact so many lives. LEAVE A LEGACY^® is a unique collaboration of nonprofit organizations, charities, foundations, businesses, legal, tax and financial advisors all working together to communicate the benefits of giving.

The PLANNED GIVING COUNCIL OF ACADIANA is a nonprofit organization that provides a forum for the exchange of planned giving ideas and coordinates the LEAVE A LEGACY^® program. This program is a national initiative. It is supported by the efforts of the National Committee on Planned Giving, the professional organization that helps further the education of planned giving professionals as well as professional advisors nationwide.

LEAVE A LEGACY^® does not raise money for any specific organization. As a public awareness program it is supported by sponsorships from nonprofit organizations, corporations, businesses and professional advisors.
